It was a hot day in Victoria and we were all...soused.
There were some sound issues but
we worked through a sizable set, but we're not exactly sure what
songs we played. Big Al believes we played the same song over
and over. Maybe he's right. Loose Cannon tried to bribe the judges
with a bottle of booze. When we didn't win he took it back and
proceeded to drink it in front of the stage. It was a great impression
of a straight up wino. The highlight of the evening was the jam
session. All of the bands were divided up into two groups. We
ended up jamming along with Dr. Dog a.k.a. Tim Bradach. COOL!
The Judges gave Slipped A Mickey a special mention for "Playing
until their fingers bleed" and their song "The Lay of
Nina Clifford" was voted most original song.
