Hey! We did it up in Duluth!

We spent the weekend up in Duluth, played on the boardwalk and at the Battle of the Jug Bands at the Amazing Grace Cafe.

We were the first band in the line up and our set was 30min of the best playing we have done so far. The audience was a bit more laid back than we hoped, but in all it was a great time. It wasn't without incident either. You see those windows behind us in the photo above? Well, during another bands performance, Chris "Loose Cannon" thought it would be funny to go outside and scratch his dupa in front of those windows. Then when the award for best band was announced he went on-stage and accepted it. According to Chris, "We coulda been makin krumkakes at home!" It was returned and all ended well.

Here is a letter we received from our host at the Amazing Grace Cafe:

Thanks for coming up and help make this Battle successful. Only one band was not in the final selection, to give you an idea of how hard it was to pick a winner. You were in the top four. Your band sounded very good. Keep on singin. Its wonderful to see and hear younger folks, enjoy old tyme jugband music.

Keep in touch....and thanks.... Elliot Silberman
