Slipped A Mickey is sort of a folk blues jug band from St. Paul, Minnesota. The name, Slipped A Mickey, comes from the old gangster pulp style novels where someone puts knockout drugs into another persons drink, sometimes called a "Mickey Finn".

Imagine a few friends getting together with some frosty beers and instruments, then making up songs old time backporch or campfire style. Improvising lyrics from mundane topics to the absurd, all for the purpose of a laugh. Slipped A Mickey has a deep respect for folk and blues music and their approach is very laid back, almost lazy, everything they do has a homemade feel to it. The purpose of the web site is to share the fun and enthusiasm for the strange, bizarre and comical music they play. You can't listen to their music without laughing or atleast giving a smile, maybe even dancing a bit.
